This article is interesting, it suggests that we are seeing an influx of exotic butterflies and moths coming to Britain from North Africa and the Continent. With many of our own species being under threat I wonder if it’s a natural consequence of changing environmental conditions. Several species including the European Long-tailed Blue, Clifden Nonpareil and Rosy Underwing have been spotted in the southern counties and I will certainly be looking out for them.
